Most positions have afternoon and evening shifts available. Typically, afternoon shifts run from 10a until 3p. Evening shifts are from 2p – 7p Saturday and end at 6p on Sunday.
Qty: 2 Total – 1 on Sat (11am-7pm) and 1 on Sunday (11am – 7pm)
Duties: Take pictures of event. Be creative.
Requirements: Must provide your own camera and related equipment. Must release all rights to the pictures to Garlic, Inc.
Food Tent Volunteers
Qty: 8 Total – 4 on Saturday (AM or PM) & 4 on Sunday (AM or PM)
Duties: Staff food concession tent – serving food, taking food orders, processing payments, re-stocking supplies. Volunteers will also help out on event grounds, run errands, pick up trash, answer questions, misc duties, put up/take down signs and regularly check in with Volunteer Coordinator for instructions. Clean up.
Stage Event Volunteers
Qty: 8 Total – 4 on Saturday & 4 on Sunday
Duties: Help out around stage, run errands, unload/reload music equipment, misc duties, help stage manager and sound man, putting up/taking down signs regularly check in with Volunteer Coordinator and follow instructions. Clean up. Assist with storm or other emergency.
Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Information Booth Volunteer
Qty 4 – 2 on Saturday & 2 on Sunday
Duties: Man the information booth. Pass out information and answer questions. Assist with storm or other emergency.
Qty: 1 – On call prior to event to coordinate event. All day Sat and Sun day of event.
Duties: Oversee stage area, including getting musicians on and off stage. Assist with storm or other emergency. Hat, sunglasses, sun screen, possibly rain gear suggested day of event.
Master of Ceremony
Qty: 2 – 1 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday
Duties: Make announcements from stage, be sure credits are read for contributors, introduce musicians and others, oversee on-stage intermissions. Assist with storm or other emergency. Hat, sunglasses, sun screen, possibly rain gear suggested. Bloomington
Assistant Executive Director
Duties: Help Executive Director and coordinate all aspects of the event. Be available for 1-2 hours per week in May and June, then 1-3 hours per day July through mid-August. Then 1-4+ hrs per day mid-August until event. Assist with storm or other emergency. Help with clean up. Help with volunteer after-party. Hat, sunglasses, sun screen, possibly rain gear suggested day of event.
